Thanks to everyone who was able to make it on the weekend — or even just reached out to say you were keen and would like to come along to the next one.
The first meetup went really well. Although I didn’t get a chance to properly talk to everyone, there’s clearly enough interest to keep this going, which is fantastic to see. A placeholder for the next one is coming soon.
The current plan is to run these every six weeks or so - I just need to line things up with my own availability, as I’m keen to make sure I can attend, help coordinate table bookings, and actually get in the mix with everyone.
A big thanks to those who drove in from out of town, spread the word, and helped keep the conversations flowing throughout the afternoon.
A special nod too to the Southwest makers community, who were very well represented on the day and have been instrumental in helping drive awareness and interest around the meetup. The overlap between the maker and tech communities is something that feels really valuable, and it was great to see that energy there from the beginning.
Feedback, thoughts, and suggestions are all very welcome and encouraged.
Looking forward to the next one.
