Southwest Tech is brand new. We’re at the very beginning — trying to understand whether there’s interest, find the people who’d show up, and build something worth coming back to. This is how you can help.

Come to a meetup

The simplest thing — just show up. Check the events page for the next one and RSVP so we know you’re coming and can send you venue details.

Suggest a venue

Know a good pub, café, or space in Dunsborough, Busselton, or Margaret River that would work well for a casual tech gathering? We’d love to hear about it.

Spread the word

Tell someone who might be interested. We suspect the southwest has far more tech people than most realise — they’re just scattered and not yet connected. Help us find them.

Help organise

If you want to be more hands-on — helping with venues, communications, or just wrangling people on the night — get in touch.

Contact

Drop us an email at southwesttech.au@gmail.com — whether you want to come along, get more involved, or just say hello.

A note on socials

We’re deliberately keeping things simple for now. No Twitter, no Facebook group, no Discord — we want getting involved to be as low-friction as possible, and we know plenty of people in the tech community would rather not need a social media account just to show up to a meetup.

If socials ever start solving a real coordination problem, we’ll add them. For now, email works fine.
